COMMON QUESTIONS
Why can't I pick some tiles?
Tiles are stacked, Mahjong style. A tile is free when nothing sits on top of it and its left or right side is open. Blocked tiles are dimmed, and tiles buried deeper lie face down until only one layer covers them.
What if there are no moves left?
Every board can be solved. If no pair is free, the tide (or the wind) shuffles the remaining tiles for you, free of charge.
I ran out of hints or shuffles.
Each game has 6 hints and 3 shuffles (resets in Stack), and a new board refills them.
How do I unlock the Shore, the Desert, the Sky or the Snow?
Tap a locked place in "Where to begin?" on the title screen, or open the Shop. Each costs $0.99, or get all of them together. You can also try one board of each for free.
I bought something but it isn't showing.
Open the Shop and tap Restore purchases, signed in to the same Apple or Google account you bought with. This also brings your purchases to a new phone or tablet.
Can I turn the ads off?
Yes: Remove ads in the Shop is a one-time purchase that stops the ad breaks between boards.
Is my data collected?
Kintsugi Wilds doesn't have accounts, and your progress stays on your device. The game itself sends nothing about you; the ads come from an ad network, which our privacy page explains.
